Red Dingo tag questions
What information should go on a dog's ID tag?
In the UK, a dog in a public place must wear a collar and tag showing the owner's name and address. We strongly recommend adding a telephone number where space allows. The dog's name is optional and should not replace the owner's details. Read the government guidance.
Is engraving included in the price?
Yes. The £13.95 price includes engraving. Design and enamel tags are engraved on the stainless-steel reverse; the flat stainless-steel Bone tag can be engraved on one or two sides for the same price.
Can I order a blank tag?
Yes. Choose “No — send the tag blank” in the personalisation window and approve the selection before adding it to your basket.
How quickly will my tag be dispatched?
Orders placed before 10am Monday–Friday are engraved and dispatched the same day. Orders placed after the cut-off, at weekends or on bank holidays are processed on the next working day.
Can I change the wording after ordering?
No. Engraving begins quickly, so approved wording cannot be amended once the order has been placed. Please check every line carefully before confirming it.
Can a personalised tag be returned?
Personalised tags cannot normally be returned unless they are faulty or Sherwood Paws has engraved them incorrectly. This does not affect your statutory rights.
